Broadway Bridge
Broadway Bridge
The Broadway Bridge is one of seven bridges that cross the South Saskatchewan River in Saskatoon. One of the nicknames for Saskatoon is, therefore, the “City of Bridges”. The Broadway Bridge was designed by C. J. Mackenzie of the college of Engineering at the University of Saskatchewan. Starting in 1932, it was a government relief project that gave a lot of people jobs during the ‘dirty thirties’.
