Cochin Lighthouse

The only lighthouse in the Saskatchewan is at the north end of the town of Cochin. Sitting on the top of Pirot Hill, it overlooks Jackfish Lake. After a walk up the 153 steps that lead to the lighthouse, you’ll see an 11.5 metre (38 feet) high, white, hexagonal, wooden tower along with a spectacular view of the town of Cochin and Jackfish Lake. Although the lighthouse is functional, it was built as a tourist attraction and remains open to the public. The tower is also used for observation, and the rotating beacon can be seen for miles.
