Matane is a small city in Quebec with a population of approximately 11,000 people. The city is located on the Saint Lawrence River and the small population lends to a friendly area and is a place where everyone knows everyone else. Surrounded by water Matane has plenty of water activities and sports as well as an economy that is supported by its location. Matane is also home to Parcs des îles-de-Matane, which is a simply beautiful area within itself. In fact, many tourists visit Matane and the Parcs des îles-de-Matane every year.
