Lac-Duparquet has over 135 islands, some of which are nesting grounds for blue Herons and others have cedar trees, which are the oldest in North America. Canoeing, boating, kayaking, swimming and fishing are some of the summer sports. In winter, the frozen lake offers an excellent ground for ince hockey, ice fishing and snowmobile excursions and also spectacular sunsets in the spring. Late summer and fall offer a picture postcard setting, the summer sky at night being an ideal place to watch shooting stars and galaxies.
