Lake Simcoe is the fourth largest lake in Southwestern Ontario. It was also known as Lake Toronto. It contains a large Georgina Island, on which there is a First Nations reserve. The lake is spread with several smaller islands including, Thorah Island, Strawberry Island, Snake Island and Fox Island. Although it used to be known as Canada’s ice fishing capital, the lake no longer supports a naturally breeding coldwater fishery.
