Rainy Lake is an attractive border lake located in Voyageurs National Park. Its waters are both Minnesota and Canadian. It is the largest lake in Voyageurs National Park spanning 117 kilometres (73 miles) in one direction. Rainy Lake has been known as the finest walleye lake in the continental United States. It is a smart fishing location and holds countless walleye, trophy northern pike, plentiful small mouth bass, and an excellent population of slab crappies It is a hunting paradise in Ontario with a few thousand kilometres of shoreline, thousands of acres of government land to hunt and hundreds of wild rice bays.
