Swampy Areas
Located between Restoule Lake and Patterson Lake, extending along the banks of the Restoule River until its entry into the French River, is Restoule Provincial Park, one of the more remote provincial parks in Ontario. Due to the fact that Hemlock thrives in the park’s swampy areas, one of Ontario’s largest white-tailed deer herd resides here, as the swampy areas are a favoured habitat of the species. Hiking and mountain biking to the high granite bluffs are among of the favourite activities for campers at the park.
