Eaton Centre

Initially designed by Eberhard Zeidler for Eaton’s in the 1970s to house the chain’s flagship store, the Toronto Eaton Centre is a historical landmark, and today one of Canada’s best-known retail shopping destinations, attracting approximately 50 million visitors annually. With Yonge Street on the east, Bay street on the east, and Dundas Street West on the north, it stretches two full city blocks. It features approximately 330 stores in the retail complex, which encompasses about 150,000 square metres (1,600,000 square feet) making it one of the largest downtown shopping centres in North America.
