Sailboat at the Lighthouse

Sailboat at the Lighthouse
Pictou is a small town on the northern coast of Nova Scotia and located in Pictou County. It is primarily a tourism based town, and has a large number of light houses. The prototypical Nova Scotia lighthouse is a “pepper pot” white pyramidal frame tower between 7.5 and 15 metres (25 and 50 feet) in height, painted white, with a red lamp. Due to its location, sheltered from the main gusts of the Atlantic Ocean, it is a popular sailing destination, and sailboats can be seen scattered all around Pictou during the spring and summer months.
