Pictou features a picturesque marina and boardwalk with water taxis and boat tours available throughout the spring, summer and fall. Being near the water, there are a number of beaches near Pictou, most notably the Caribou/Munroes Island Provincial Park and the Waterside Beach Provincial Park. Beautiful sunrises over the Atlantic Ocean are not uncommon throughout the year.
