Nova Scotia has an extraordinary length of coastline compared to its area, so it’s not surprising that it has a large number of lighthouses: more than 150. Most of them are small, some are pyramidal frame, but many other types are represented as well. The appearance of the Harvest Moon begins the first of the harvesting months in Pictou County. Many cultures celebrate the harvests with gatherings and festivals that are familiar to the Harvest Moon.
