Evangeline Beach

The centerpiece of Grand-Pré is the National Historic Park. The Church of St. Charles Museum graphically depicts the history of the Acadian struggle to survive and develop as a unique people from their origins in the early 17th century to the present day. The Acadian Dykes and dyke building exhibit clearly demonstrates how the dykes were built and provides an appreciation of the enormous influence the Acadians have exerted upon the Land of Evangeline. Evangeline Beach is a popular choice for salt water bathing and affording a magnificent view of Blomidon and Minas Basin. The Covenanter’s Church, built in 1790, features a fascinating interior design and interesting headstones in the adjacent cemetery.
