Digby is a town in western Nova Scotia which is located on the Annapolis Basin of the Bay of Fundy. It is the commercial hub of Digby County and is famous for its fishing fleet. The Bay of Fundy is located on the Atlantic coast of North America and is known world-wide for having the greatest difference in water level between high and low tides. The name “Fundy” is said to have come from when the Portuguese referred to the bay as “Rio Fundo” or “deep river”.
