Winnipeg has some to the most beautiful parks in Canada. Assiniboine Park is home to the zoo and to the annual Canada Day celebrations. Kildonan Park has some of the oldest trees and also offers skating, skiing, snowshoeing, and tobogganing during winter months while summer brings swimming, running, Frisbee, soccer and, of course, sun tanning. St. John’s Park, the oldest city park in Winnipeg, is located in the northern section of the city, and is always a popular park year-round.
