Tundra Sunrise

Witnessing a sunrise on the tundra in northern Canada is nothing short of amazing. Churchill, most famous for the large number of polar bears that gather there every year in early winter, is known as the “polar bear capital of the world.” Tundra Buggies (busses with large tires so that they can be driven over the tundra) take thousands of tourists out on the tundra every year to view polar bears safely. In the summer, Churchill is also a popular spot for tourists to view beluga whales, as they are consistantly in the area all summer long.
