The group of islands located between Vancouver, British Columbia, Victoria, British Columbia and Seattle, Washington, are know as the Gulf Islands. There are three British Columbia Ferry terminals on Salt Spring Island: Fulford Harbour, Long Harbour and Vesuvius Bay. The closest to Salt Spring Vineyards is Fulford Harbour. The ferry to Fulford Harbour leaves from Swartz Bay, 27 kilometres (17 miles) north of Victoria on Vancouver Island.
