French Beach Provincial Park is located on the Juan de Fuca Strait on the west coast of southern Vancouver Island. The park can be accessed via Highway 14, 20 kilometres (12.5 miles) west of Sooke. The park features dozens of hiking trails, and is also a popular location for whale watching. French Beach is also a good spot to observe Bald eagles, ospreys and a variety of seabirds.
