Butchart Gardens, located about 20 kilometres (14 miles) north of Victoria, features 55 acres of floral display on a 130 acre country estate on the southeast corner of BC’s Vancouver Island. The gardens, full of fountains, trails and hundreds of varieties of flowers, plants and trees, also feature fireworks in the summer and Christmas lights in the winter. With one of the largest underground wiring installations of its kind in North America, the Gardens can be transformed into a summer evening wonderland.
