Summer Activities

Whistler-Blackcomb mountain, host of numerous events of the upcoming 2010 Winter Olympic Games including the men’s and women’s slalom and GS, and the bobsleigh, luge, and skeleton events, is known as being a winter destination. However, for those who are passionate about the mountains, it is quickly becoming a summer vacation favourite as well. The best way to describe Whistler in summer is to use a local saying: “You come to Whistler for the winters, but you stay for the summers.” Summer activities include golfing, mountain biking, ATVing, walking, hiking, horseback riding, and even summer skiing on the Blackcomb Glacier.
