Sun Yat-Sen Chinese Garden

Sun Yat-Sen Chinese Garden was named for the founder of the first Chinese Republic who visited Vancouver many times, Dr. Sun Yat-Sen. It is a classical Chinese Garden located in the Chinatown district of Vancouver, British Columbia, and is the only full-sized classical Chinese garden outside China. Although it was built in the 1980s, the construction and maintenance techniques used throughout the garden are based on the ancient methods established in China. Open year-round, the park is a public space while the garden itself requires an entrance fee to visit. The Garden offers guided tours that are complimentary with admission that provide interesting perspectives in Chinese culture, life, architecture and horticulture during the Ming Dynasty.
