Robson Square at Dusk

Robson Street is a major southeast/northwest main street in Downtown Vancouver. It is known as a centre of German culture and commerce in Vancouver. The street is particularly famous for the fashion shops and dining and is also popular throughout the Lower Mainland as a cruising street, with many exotic and rare cars and motorcycles present every weekend and throughout the summer. Robson Square is a collection of buildings and open spaces designed by architect Arthur Erickson. In the summer the cafes and restaurants of the lower level are a great place to take a break from shopping and find some shelter from the sun. In the winter, the outer square is converted into a skating rink (as pictured above), when the weather is cold enough.
