Lions in Winter

Lions in Winter
These are two spectacular mountain peaks overlooking Vancouver’s harbour. They appear to resemble the ears of a lion and were named as a remembrance of statues of two lions in London’s Trafalgar Square. Local natives of the area also refer to the two peaks as the “Two Sisters.” Geologists believe that these two peaks, with the West Lion standing at 1,646 metres (5,401 feet) and the East Lion at 1,599 metres (5,245 feet) are the remnants of a volcanic cone.
