The Garibaldi Volcanic Belt, the northern extension of the Cascades Volcanic Belt in the United States (which includes Mount Baker), is the home of Mount Garibaldi, a stratovolcano, which is the largest in the Garibaldi Volcanic Belt. The mountain has a unique asymmetrical shape due to the fact that its main cone was constructed atop part of a large glacier system that has since almost melted away.
