Meziadin Lake

Meziadin Lake Provincial Park was established on December 4, 1987 and is a very well known campground and recreational area in British Columbia. Meziadin Lake is a great fishing spot where you can enjoy fishing for rainbow trout, dollyvarden, and sockeye salmon. Bears are abundant in this area and during the months of August and September grizzly bears enjoy fishing as much as the their human counterparts. Meziadin Lake just north of what is known as the Kermode Bear range and to find this unique park you must travel 156 kilometres (97 miles) north of Highway 16/37 junction and one south of Highway 37/37A junction, or around a two-hour drive north of Kitwanga. While camping at Meziadin Lake you can also visit neighboring mining towns such as Stewart, BC and Hyder, Alaska or enjoy Bear Glacier.
