Perched atop Mount Athabasca’s north face, Little A Glacier forms part of the Columbia Icefield in Jasper National Park. This view is seen from Wilcox Pass Trail, a moderately easy climb of 335 metres (1,099 feet) over the course of 4.5 kilometers (2.8 miles). The afternoon shadows cast across the glacier created interesting shapes and emphasized both its snowy smoothness and icy cracks.
