Athabasca Falls

Athabasca Falls, located in Jasper National Park, about 25 kilometres (15.5 miles) south of Jasper, is amoung one of the most beatiful and therefore most photographed waterfall in the Canadian Rockies. The headwater runs from the Columbia Glacier, located about 70 kilometres (43.5 miles) south of the falls. At just 23 metres (75.5 feet) high, it is not known for its height, but for the force and amount of water that goes over the falls. White water rafting often starts at the foot of the falls to travel downstream on the Athabasca River to Jasper, Alberta.
