Saskatchewan Glacier

Saskatchewan Glacier
At the southeastern edge of the Columbia Icefield, the six-mile long Saskatchewan Glacier forms the headwaters of the North Saskatchewan River. This view is from Parker Ridge, a short (2.4 kilometres/1.5 miles) but steep (250 metres/820 feet) climb from the Icefields Parkway in Banff National Park, just south of the Jasper National Park border. Saskatchewan Glacier is the largest outlet glacier from the massive Columbia Icefield.
